The Blues

This is a painting I'd done a few years ago, that I was compelled to do while listening to the "Mo' Betta Blues" soundtrack. One of my favorite tracks is entitled, "The Blues", and while I was listening to it, images flooded my head, and I'd started sketching. Lacking canvas, I spied a box that my futon mattress had come in, sliced it up, and started doing it directly onto the cardboard.
Sometimes, inspiration doesn't wait for the proper tools, or equipment...
